It is with joy that we announce the upcoming release of Dregspin, one of the fresh artists on the Damaru Rec roster. “Grasp” is much more than just a collection of tracks; the EP follows a dark and atmospheric concept from beginning to end, creating a journey through the one of the darkest acts Damaru Rec has to offer.
The EP starts with “Hidden Howlings,” a voyage into the abyss. This track offers mid-tempo darkpsy, combined with a pounding bass line and haunting leads. Following with "Bleached Eternalty", he brings in characteristic haunting leads and a very dry, driving bass line. In “Endings”, Dregspin adheres to that style and adds more organic sounds, creating a moving and forest-like atmosphere. In the closing track, Dregspin´s EP peaks with deep, dark and broken atmospheres, uniting the listener with the madness that went into creating the track.
The energy of these tracks will overwhelm you as Dregspin creates a stream which is purely made for deep driving trance experiences on the dancefloor.
The result of Dregspin’s “Grasp” is a very coherent revelation of a thoroughly unique musical style; a traditional approach of typical darkpsy sound design, and an exploration of sounds that go beyond that style. Tune in, and prepare yourselves for his personal take on insanity!
